My Amazon Prime Pantry

I did my regular morning routine, side swing, stretch then off the bed, hit the alarm clock, zombie crawl to the kitchen, wash hands, open fridge, stand patiently, wait for breakfast and lunch ideas I can prepare under 20 minutes. "Eureka," it hits me, no..well..yes the idea, but I also hit my head. You see, I have this unintentional self inflicted, clumsy, accident prone side to me where I walk into things, or my pride would say things walk into me. Some occasions, I'm fully convinced that evil supernatural beings play dirty tricks on me, shifting doorways, chair/table legs, the bed and any hard surface or object that can cause bodily harm. Unfortunately there's no proof to my theories, therefore to my love ones, " it's me not looking where I'm going."

Moving on,
  • breakfast and lunch prepared - check
  • find covers for glass containers - check
  • pack nuts in biodegradable paper sandwich bags - check
  • find 1oz glass jar for dressing - after 4mins check
  • pour dressing in jar - check
  • pack everything together, including utensils and paper towel - check
  • send hubby off to work - sad face - check

After vowing  not to use the computer to give my eyes a rest from spring semester, I still logged in, with the excuse to check the status of an amazon order.  Then I went on to search for eye vitamins, but nothing could prepare me for the enticing icon that read,"Amazon Prime Pantry." It was like reading a foreign script, one my brain could not process. Click, click, click, typing organic into the search bar, then

no, money was not falling from the sky, it was savings and coupons. With further investigations the deal kept getting sweeter. So I added 15 items to my cart, the results
1 box | 15 items | 52% full , A flat delivery fee of $5.99 for each Prime Pantry box.

Reality check! I already went food shopping yesterday :( . So to release this energy of excitement and stick to my weekly budget, I gave birth to this blog. A journey hopefully filled with money and time savings, quality service and a fully stocked pantry. With complete self control I removed the items from the cart to, "Saved  for Later."  Here are some of the things on my list.

To celebrate the birth of this blog, it's only fitting to have a celebratory song.
